School Accreditation
What we do
The English Language School Accreditation Council (ELSAC) is an independent, non-governmental body that provides international accreditation for independent or private English language schools around the world. ELSAC aims to advance the educational standards of English language schools and recognise those schools that meet the rigorous and stringent requirements of accepted global standards. The quality of the educational programmes are objectively evaluated as are student requirements for security, welfare, information and leisure.
IMPROVING STANDARDS
How we bring value
ELSAC accreditation enhances the English language school´s regional and international profile and assures the public that the educational programmes, policies, and procedures of the school are in line with international standards of quality. An accredited English language school demonstrates its commitment to high standards through a process of continuous improvement.
SETTING BENCHMARKS
Our Accreditation
ELSAC grants international accreditation through a unique process consisting of a set of key performance indicators (Standards & Evidence) split into 8 main areas. It is through this process that a school can gauge its standing and performance in terms of benchmarks set by the profession. The ELSAC Code of Professional Practice promotes professional behaviour for all accredited members of the English Language School Accreditation Council. Central to the Code of Professional Practice is respect for the individuality of the learner, and recognition of the collaborative nature of the profession of learning and teaching.
EXCELLENCE
Our Mission
ELSAC confers accreditation in alignment with our mission to protect and uphold the interests of students and to enhance educational standards and administrative procedures (policies) in English language schools. We also require that accredited schools are committed to a process of continuous improvement in the development of updated and contemporary curricula, tailored to the students’ specific needs. The evaluation and accreditation process is easy to navigate and may be completed in approximately thirty days. Accreditation received from ELSAC, will confer your school with a number of immediate benefits and advantages.
