Who are we?

The English Language School Accreditation Council (ELSAC) is an independent, non-government accreditation body that focuses on private English language schools that offer both online and face-to-face English language courses. ELSAC was established as a subsidiary of ITEFLAC and is governed by members of an Evaluation Council. The Evaluation Council comprises of members drawn from diverse professional backgrounds. These members include administrators, educators, faculty members, researchers, CEOs, and entrepreneurs – all of whom are experts and leaders in their fields.

About Us

The English Language School Accreditation Council (ELSAC) is a subsidiary of ITEFLAC Ltd which is incorporated with The Registrar of Companies for England and Wales – Company Number: 13549950. ELSAC and ITEFLAC Ltd are registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) – reference number 10089346. The UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) is the portal for government departments, agencies, learners, and employers to share key information about learning providers. ITEFLAC and ELSAC introduce a level playing field in the arena of both regional and international accreditation.

Our Aims

The aim of ELSAC is to promote and provide a systematic approach whereby English language schools can demonstrate their adherence to globally accepted standards, pursue continuous professional development and be recognised for this on a regional and international level. ELSAC is a self-regulating accreditation body dedicated to promoting a Code of Professional Practice within English language schools internationally. The process by which ELSAC accredits and evaluates English language schools follows a unique set of key performance indicators (Standards & Evidence) split into 8 main areas.

Our Mission

ELSAC confers accreditation in alignment with our mission to protect and uphold the interests of students and to enhance educational standards and administrative procedures (policies) in English language schools. We also require that accredited schools are committed to a process of continuous improvement in the development of updated and contemporary curricula, tailored to the students’ specific needs. The evaluation and accreditation process is easy to navigate and may be completed in approximately thirty days. Accreditation received from ELSAC, will confer your school with a number of immediate benefits and advantages.
